3rd grade saw the return of the prodigal Rebel, Brad Marmara, from a year overseas and he showed that the layoff had not hurt his skills, taking 3 good outfield catches, batting one for two with a single and a walk and scoring a run. The rest of the team batted well to support pitchers Michael Peterson (3 innings given up 3 runs on 3 hits with 2 strike outs) and Nathan Connett (1 innings with no runs, no hits and on strike out). Andrew McAlpine had a double and a 2 singles with Russell Maxwell and Michael Peterson having 2 singles each and Daniel Hogg, Brad Eadie, Darrell Duncan and Sam Evatt also having singles. 4th Grade | | 1 | 2 | 3 | R | H | E | Indians | 7 | 2 | 6 | 15 | 7 | 0 | Rebels | 0 | 1 | 1 | 2 | 4 | 8 |
4th grade learnt the hard way the problem with errors in the field. Indians 7 run first innings included only one safe hit and only 6 of their 15 runs were earned runs. Chris Knapman, Scott Thompson and Darren Peterson all had doubles and Justin Blundell had a single but the errors gave Indians too many chances to make up much ground. 5th Grade Rebels | | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | R | H | E | Pirates | 1 | 0 | 1 | 6 | 8 | 10 | 2 | Rebels | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 2 | 3 |
